LIGHTMGROUP is hiring a Server Management & Deployment Officer to support our technical operations, hosting services, website deployments, and mobile app publishing processes.
The person in this role will help manage client hosting environments, deploy websites and web applications, monitor live systems, follow up on app publishing requirements, and make sure digital products remain secure, updated, and online.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage hosting accounts, VPS servers, cPanel, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, and server configurations.
- Deploy websites, web apps, dashboards, APIs, and business systems to live environments.
- Support projects built with PHP, Django/Python, Node.js, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, and static frontend technologies.
- Monitor uptime, storage, backups, server errors, logs, speed, and general website health.
- Handle Git-based deployments and production updates safely.
- Fix hosting, database, SSL, DNS, email, and deployment-related issues.
- Follow up on Google Play Console and app publishing processes.
- Track app review status, testing requirements, rejected submissions, and publishing updates.
- Work with developers to confirm projects are ready before launch.
- Prepare deployment notes, hosting documentation, backup records, and technical reports.
- Support clients and internal teams with clear technical communication.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of Linux commands, SSH, cPanel, FTP/SFTP, DNS, SSL, and hosting management.
- Experience deploying PHP, Django/Python, Node.js, and static websites.
- Understanding of MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, and database backups.
- Basic Git and GitHub knowledge.
- Ability to read logs and troubleshoot server errors.
- Familiarity with Google Play Console app publishing.
- Good communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
Added Advantage:
- Experience with Nginx, Apache, Passenger, Gunicorn, PM2, or LiteSpeed.
- Experience managing multiple client websites.
- Basic understanding of SEO, performance, security, and backups.
- Experience publishing Android apps.
Expected Results:
- Client websites remain online, secure, and updated.
- Deployments are completed carefully without breaking live systems.
- App publishing tasks are followed up until approval or next action.
- Technical records are clear and easy for the team to use.
