LIGHTMGROUP approached the project as a digital transformation rather than a simple visual redesign. The new experience is being structured around RWN’s programs, impact, stories, resources and organizational information, while creating a responsive and maintainable technical foundation for future growth.
The core parts delivered for this project.
Rwanda Women’s Network has worked for decades to strengthen women’s empowerment and gender equality in Rwanda. The digital transformation focuses on giving that established mission a modern platform capable of communicating RWN’s work clearly to communities, partners and supporters.
RWN’s work extends across healing, empowerment and community transformation. The digital experience organizes programs, results and stories in a way that allows visitors to quickly understand both what the organization does and the impact its interventions are creating. This is particularly important because RWN reports substantial program activity, including women’s safe spaces, GBV cases supported, healthcare access, financial education and income-generating initiatives.
RWN has developed and contributed to research reports, policy materials, training manuals, strategic plans and other resources related to gender equality and women’s rights. The platform provides a stronger structure for making this institutional knowledge accessible online.
Beyond statistics and organizational information, the platform gives greater visibility to the people and communities behind RWN’s work. Stories of change help connect programs with their human impact and make the organization’s work more understandable to wider audiences.
The new architecture is designed as a long-term digital foundation rather than a one-time website redesign. It gives RWN a platform that can continue evolving as programs, resources, partnerships and communication needs grow.
